Popsicle Stick Pull

-Objective:

  • To successfully pull a popsicle stick away from your competitor

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Locomotor

    • Pull​

-Equipment List:

  • One popsicle stick (or tongue depressor) per pair of players.

-Setting Up:

  • Have participants pair up. Each pair of contestants is given a popsicle stick.

-Instructions:

  • Explain to the players that the purpose of this contest is to pull the popsicle stick away from the other player.

  • Each player folds their hands in a prayer position with inter-locking fingers.

  • The 2 index fingers are placed together with half a popsicle stick squeezed between the end of the 2 index fingers.

  • The players face each other, each squeezing half of the stick between their index fingers.

  • They then try to pull the stick out of the grip of their contestant.

  • The one who succeeds is the winner. Try a best 2 out of 3 for an overall winner.
