For taggers to tag all players and players trying to stay safe.

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Locomotor

  • Run

-Equipment List:

  • One hula hoop for every 6-8 players

  • One half-length pool noodle for every 6-8 players

-Setting Up:

  • Assign one out of every 6-8 players to be it. They are each given a half-length hula hoop to tag players with.

  • Assign one out of every 6-8 players to be safe. They are each given a hula hoop which they hold over their head as a halo.

  • Players position themselves in a scattered formation away from the ITS.


  • On the leader's signal to begin the taggers attempt to tag players not under the halo--the taggers' objective is have everyone tagged.  When players are tagged they do jumping jacks till tagged by another player.

  • Players that are holding the halo (hula hoop) cannot be tagged--they are safe. Other players can go to a haloed player and politely ask to have the halo, the haloed player must oblige and give the halo away.

  • Play for a specified time or till are players are doing jumping jacks or standing under a halo
