To try to catch a ball as many times in a row as possible.

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Manipulative Receive

  • Catch

-Equipment List:

  • One basketball and one tennis ball per pair of players.

-Setting Up:

  • One player holds a basketball (or other large ball like a volleyball...) with a tennis ball directly on top.

  • The other player stands opposite this player.


  • The player with the two balls drops the large ball and then the tennis ball will fly high into the sky.

  • The other player tries to catch the ball.

  • This is a cooperative game and partners work in pairs and count how many times in a row a player catches the ball.

  • Switch roles.
