One-Goal Soccer

-Objective:

Heading 1

To score more goals, by kicking the ball through the opponent’s goal, than the opponent.

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Manipulative Send

    • Kick​

  • Manipulative Receive

    • Trap​

  • Manipulative Retain​

    • Dribble​

-Equipment List:

  • One soccer ball and two pylons for two teams of three-five players each.

-Setting Up:

  • Set up 2 pylons 3 steps apart (like a goal)

  • One team begins at about 10 paces from their side of the goal with a ball.

-Instructions:

  • One team begins with the ball and attempts to dribble and pass by his opponents and kick into the goal–between the 2 pylons.

  • The team tries to prevent goals and to intercept the ball and score their own goal.

  • For the other team to score a goal they must first pass and/or dribble the ball to the other side of the goal

  • Once a goal has been scored the team scored against gets to dribble the ball three paces from their goal line before they can be defended against.
