-Questions & Notes:

  • Variations:

    • Team Over-under:

      • Divide the group in half.

      • One team stands in a tight circle with one player holding the ball.

      • The player with the ball throws the ball anywhere in the gymnasium.

      • The player then runs around her group in the tight circle.

      • The other team runs to get the ball and stand in line facing the back of the teammates in front of them.

      • The first player who gets the ball puts it over his head to the player behind him.

      • The nest player puts the ball between her legs to the player behind him.

      • Play continues over and under all the players until the last player gets it and yells, “STOP.”

      • At the command to stop the team that was running the circles counts the number of laps their runner completed.

      • The team that was in the line moves into a tight circle and throws the ball.

      • Repeat several times to see which group can get the most cumulative laps.

  • Continuous Over and Under

    • Once the front player passes the ball she runs to the back of the line.

    • Other players follow, first passing the ball and then running to the back of the line.

    • Repeat for 10 complete rotations and see how quickly a team can do this.

    • This game can also be done passing forwards.
