-Objective:

Heading 1

To knock over all of the other team’s pins before your team’s pins are knocked down

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Locomotor

    • Dodge

    • Run 

  • Manipulative Send​

    • Throw​

  • Manipulative Receive​

    • Block 

    • Catch​

  • Manipulative Retain​

    • Carry​

-Equipment List:

  • 6 towers (18"H)

  • 2 shields (23"L x 20"W)

  • 2 hero pinnies

  • 2 villain pinnies

  • 36 balls (6" dia)

-Setting Up:

  • Use a basketball court with a 3-point line (if you do not have a 3-point line use the basketball key).

  • Each team gets a side and are positioned on their side of half.

  • Each team has one designated villain--with the villain pennie.

  • Each team gets three towers which must be placed on the end line, inside the 3-point line and at least two steps away from each other.

  • Only the goalie is permitted inside the 3-point area.

  • Each team is given 18 balls.

-Instructions:

  • On the signal to begin players throw balls from their own half of centre in an attempt to knock down the towers.

  • The other team's villain is the only one that can cross centre and the villains are able to retrieve balls and toss them back to their own team.

  • Once there is only one tower left, the team can cross centre and throw balls from outside the 3-point line.

  • If the other team's villains tag a player that player must return to their own half again--and if those returning players are holding a ball the ball must be dropped.
