Two-Sided Tag

-Objective:

Heading 1

For players to not get tagged, but if they do they must perform a skill on the opposite side of the tagging area.

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Locomotor

  • Dodge

  • Run

-Equipment List:

  • One volleyball (or other sport ball) for about half of the players.

  • One half-length pool noodle per IT (One IT per 10 or so players)

-Setting Up:

  • Players are given instructions for which skill to perform if they get tagged.

  • Players are positioned in a scattered pattern throughout the playing area.

  • Several players are designated as ITs and are given a half-length pool noodle for tagging purposes.

-Instructions:

  • One the leader's signal to begin taggers attempt to tag players.

  • If players are tagged they do the assigned skill challenge.

-Questions & Notes:

  • How do players best prevent from getting tagged.
