Omnikin One Foot Balance

To determine how long a ball can be balance on one foot.

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Manipulative Retain

  • Balance

-Equipment List:

  • One Omnikin ball per player (or other ball will do)

  • Each player is located in a scattered position in playing area

  • Each player is given one Omnikin ball

-Instructions:

  • On the leader's signal to begin the players attempt to determine how long they can ball the ball on their foot.

-Questions & Notes:

  • Questions for Understanding:

  • Try with both feet. Is one easier than the other? Why? How can you improve the weaker foot?

  • Try it with smaller balls. How does the size of ball influence success? Why?
