Bounce Ball in Hoops (Cooperative & Competitive)

Attempt to hit the ball into a hoop after each hit.

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Manipulative Send

  • Strike

-Equipment List:

  • For two or four people 

  • One bouncy ball

  • One bouncy hoop

-Setting Up:

  • Place a hoop on the ground.

  • Two people (or two teams of two people) are given one ball to share.

-Instructions:

  • Cooperative version:

  • One player bounces the ball into the centre of the hoop (needs to bounce above the knee and stay below the shoulders).

  • Then the other player bounces the ball back into the centre of the hoop...

  • Count how many successful hits can be made.

  • Competitive version:

  • Players attempt to hit the ball into the centre of the hoop but make it difficult for the returner to return the ball into the centre of the hoop.
