Tic Tac Toe Rolling Three In a Row
For each team to get three in a row before the other team does.
-Fundamental Movement Skills:
Nine Hula Hoops
Two sets of three different coloured balls.
Place nine hula hoops in a 3 x 3 grid right next to each other.
Place a rolling spot (vinyl spot) about 3-5 paces away from the hula hoops.
Divide group into two teams of about six players.
Each team divides their team so that three are on one side of the hoops and three players are opposite on the other side of the hoops. The other team takes the other two sides.
Give each player (3) a ball.
On the leader's signal to begin the first player from each of the four sides rolls their ball in an effort to have it stop inside a hula hoop. If two balls go into the same hula hoop, the ball that entered first remains.
Any balls that do not make it into a hula hoop are picked up by the roller and the next player rolls their ball.
If all balls from a team have been rolled and are in hoops but there is no three in a row, players can remove one of their own balls and re-roll it.
The first team to get three in a row wins.
-Questions & Notes:
To make it easier have players stand closer to the hula hoops when rolling, and/or have larger hula hoops, and/or have thicker hula hoops.
To make it more difficult have players stand further from the hula hoops when rolling, and/or have smaller hoops, and/or have thinner hula hoops.
