Three-Dimensional Tic-Tac-Toe

-Objective:

Heading 1

To get three of your colour blocks in a row (diagonal, straight line, or at a 3-2-1 angle. Cannot do three on top of each other to count.

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

-Equipment List:

  • A 3-by-3 tic-tac-toe grid 

  • 14 items of one colour and 14 items of a different colour.

-Setting Up:

Two players sit opposite each other with a tic-tac-toe- grid between them, and each has 14 items of their own colour.

-Instructions:

  • The first player places a marker on the playing surface.

  • The second player places a marker on the playing surface either adjacent to, or on top off. 

  • The first player places a marker on the playing surface either adjacent to, or on top off.

  • Once one player gets three in a row, that player is a winner.

  • Play again :)

-Questions & Notes:

  • Variation with movement:

  • Establish a starting line on the floor.

  • Form two teams of 2-3 players each.

  • Place the markers in two separate piles on either side of the tic-tac-toe grid.

  • Establish a run to line.

  • When it is a player's turn to play they run to the run-to-line and then back to the starting line and then they play their marker.

  • When the players come back tot he starting line, the next player runs to the run-to-line....
