-Setting Up:

  • Establish a small area for players to play in–something like a six meter/yard square.

  • All players are inside the playing area.

  • Two players are designated to be It, and one of them holds a stability ball.

-Instructions:

  • Upon the leader’s signal to begin the Its pass the ball to each other and try to tag someone with the ball.

  • The It without the ball can move around the square to get in a better position where he can catch the ball and tag one of the other players using the ball.

  • The It with the ball can only pivot on one foot.

  • When an It tags another player, or a player goes out-of-bounds, the It with the ball and the caught player switch roles.

-Questions & Notes:

  • Tactically it is advantageous for the Its to make quick short passes as they try to corner a player.

  • If you have a larger area, have two pairs of players be It, each with their own ball–the two pairs can work independently or cooperate in catching other players.
