-Objective:

Heading 1

​To try and successfully pass the pucks, while skating around in a circle, so that the second puck does not catch the first one.

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Locomotor

    • Slide​

  • Manipulative Send​

    • Propel​

  • Manipulative Receive​

    • Trap​

  • Manipulative Retain​

    • Dribble​

-Equipment List:

  • Each player has a hockey stick and there are 2 pucks per group

-Setting Up:

  • ​Players skate in a circle (around the two face-off circles, or around the two face-off circles and the goal....)

-Instructions:

  • Players stand around a defined area they need to skate around.

  • Two players, back-to-back, each have a puck.

  • Everyone starts skating at a moderate speed.

  • The player with the first puck passes the puck to the player 2 players in front of him.

  • The receiver controls the puck and passes it to the player 2 persons in front of her.

  • The puck continues to be passed forward 2 players at a time.

  • The person with the second puck waits for the first puck to be passed twice before passing her puck to the person 2 persons in front of her.

  • The second puck is passed in the same manner as the first puck (passed 2 persons in front).

  • Players attempt to pass the first puck as quickly as possible.

  • Players also attempt to try and have the second puck bypass the first puck.

  • If the second puck bypasses the first puck begin the activity again.
