-Setting Up:

  • Three players hold three triangles forming a triangle, and determine who will be the one to be tagged--players must keep their own hands next to each other as they hold the pool noodles.

  • A fourth player is the IT and holds a half-length pool noodle.

  • The IT stands opposite the player that is to be tagged.

  • Sometimes a pylon or or cone or spot can be placed in the middle of the triangle, as a spot that needs to stay in the centre of the triangle throughout the game.

-Instructions:

  • On the groups decision to begin the tagger tries to tag the one to be tagged.

  • The three-player triangle can spin to block the tagger from  tagging the one to be tagged.

  • The tagger can not tag the one to be tagged across the triangle.

-Questions & Notes:

  • Notes:

  • This is a very vigorous game for the tagger so do switch roles frequently--at least every time a player is tagged, but sometimes before then.

  • Make sure groups of triangles are far enough apart to not run into each other.

  • Questions for Understanding:

  • What are important strategies to be used by the three-player triangle to protect the one to be tagged?

  • What are important strategies for the tagger to tag the one to be tagged?
