Pool Basketball

-Objective:

For each team to score baskets inside the inner tube.

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Manipulative Send

    • Throw

  • Manipulative Receive

    • Catch

-Equipment List:

  • One 24 inch Fit Ball and two tubes per game.

-Setting Up:

  • Two tubes are placed on either side of the pool.

  • Two teams stand by their tubes and one team is given the ball.

-Instructions:

  • Players pass the ball to each other and attempt to score by shooting the ball into the hoop.

-Questions & Notes:

  • Variation: Place the tubes on the pool deck so no players can guard the tube.

  • What tactics improve success?
