Kinball Defensive Alignment

-Objective:

For teams to learn how to align themselves in four corners away from the Kinball

-Fundamental Movement Skills:

  • Locomotor

    • Run

  • Manipulative Send

    • Propel 

    • Strike

    • Throw

  • Manipulative Receive

    • Catch

-Equipment List:

  • One Kinball

-Setting Up:

  • Four three teams of four players position themselves in a four-corner box around the Kinball.

  • Ball is brought to the middle each time and teams permitted time to align themselves in a box, the best way to play defence

-Instructions:

  • Players from each team line up in a square formation around the Kinball.

  • One team is given the ball in the midle of the court.

  • That teams call out "Omnikin," then a team colour, and then strike the ball.

  • The team called out attempts to catch the ball, bring the ball to the centre of the playing area, while the other teams go into the stragecially best defensive formation in a square around the ball.
